In the film Life of Pi 3D 2012, a young Indian boy named Pi survives a shipwreck that kills his family and sinks the cargo ship carrying their zoo animals. He finds himself stranded on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean with a wounded zebra, a hyena, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. After the other animals perish, Pi must use his wits to coexist with the fearsome tiger, facing storms, starvation, and despair during a 227-day odyssey. Their surreal journey includes a stop on a carnivorous island, culminating in a mysterious ending that questions the nature of truth and survival.
