In the animated film The Legend of Sarila 3D 2013, an Inuit tribe faces starvation. Three young hunters, guided by an old woman's tale, embark on a perilous quest to find Sarila, a mythical land of warmth and plenty. The party includes Markussi, who shows burgeoning shamanic powers, which threatens the village's jealous and corrupt shaman, Krilik. Secretly aligned with dark spirits, Krilik sabotages their journey with curses and summoned beasts. As they brave icy wilderness and supernatural threats, Markussi must embrace his destiny, overcome Krilik's treachery, and lead his friends to Sarila to save their people.
