In the film The Spacewalker 3D 2017, cosmonaut Alexei Leonov prepares for the historic first human spacewalk in 1965. The mission, planned as a national triumph, turns into a desperate struggle for survival. During the walk, Leonov's spacesuit dangerously inflates in the vacuum, preventing him from re-entering the Voskhod 2 capsule. After a perilous improvisation, he and commander Pavel Belyayev face a cascading series of failures, including a faulty automatic re-entry system. They are forced to land manually in the remote Ural taiga, where they must survive for two days in freezing conditions before rescue.
