In the film Maleficent 3D 2014, a kind fairy named Maleficent lives in the magical Moors. Betrayed and wounded by a human she trusted, Stefan, who cuts off her wings to become king, her heart turns to stone. Years later, when King Stefan has a daughter, Aurora, Maleficent curses the infant out of vengeance. As Aurora grows under the care of three bumbling fairies, an unexpected bond forms between the child and the scorned fairy, forcing Maleficent to question her curse and face the true nature of love and redemption in a battle for the kingdom.
