In the film Pompeii 3D 2014, a Celtic gladiator named Milo, enslaved after his tribe is slaughtered by Romans, is taken to Pompeii. There he falls for Cassia, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, who is being forced into a political marriage with a corrupt Roman senator. Their forbidden romance unfolds as Mount Vesuvius begins to erupt. Amid the chaos of earthquakes and falling ash, Milo must fight his way through the crumbling city to rescue Cassia from her fiancé and the natural disaster, racing against time as Pompeii is buried by the catastrophic volcanic eruption.
