Akane teams up with a writer who lost his girlfriend to the curse. They learn that a ghost named Sadako can now crawl out of any screen. Her long black hair covers her face, and her pale fingers reach into the real world. The 3D format makes her hand appear closer than expected. Sadako targets people who feel lonely or broken. Akane must break the cycle before the entire city watches the video. The final confrontation happens inside an old well hidden under a modern building.
