Pina 3D 2011. Wim Wenders directs an insanely touching and mesmerizing film dedicated to the life and work of German dancer Pina Bausch. After her tragic death, Wenders considered stopping the project but continued shooting with her ensemble. The film features some of Bausch’s most epic productions at the Tanztheater, including Café Müller and The Rite of Spring. It also includes interviews with dancers on stage and in real life, archival footage of Bausch herself, and landscape sketches of her hometown of Wuppertal. The documentary was originally shot in 3D.
