Rio 3D 2011. Blu is a rare domesticated Spix’s macaw who cannot fly, living with his owner Linda in a small Minnesota town. When scientists discover Blu is the last male of his kind, they take him to Rio de Janeiro to meet the last female, Jewel. Soon after arriving, the pair are kidnapped by smugglers. Despite their clashing personalities, Blu and Jewel must escape together and flee through the city’s lively streets and carnival parades. Along the way, they meet a wise toucan named Rafael, a music-loving cardinal called Nico, and a bold canary named Pedro. Through their journey across Brazil’s exotic landscapes, Blu and Jewel learn about freedom, friendship, and love against the backdrop of Rio’s colorful scenery and joyful music.
