In the film Moana 3D 2016, on the Polynesian island of Motunui, a chosen teenager named Moana sets sail to save her people from a spreading blight. Guided by the ocean itself, she seeks the demigod Maui, who stole the heart of the goddess Te Fiti, causing the ecological decay. Together, they voyage across the open sea, facing colossal coconut pirates, a giant crab, and the lava demon Te Kā. Moana must convince Maui to restore the heart and, ultimately, complete the voyage her ancestors never finished to heal the ocean and discover her own identity as a wayfinder.
