The 2017 animated film Coco's Secret 3D tells the story of twelve-year-old Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician despite a strict family ban on music. His idol is the legendary singer Ernesto de la Cruz. In an attempt to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the otherworld of the dead. There he meets the fraudster Hector, and they embark on an unusual journey to find the boy's ancestors and uncover a long-standing family secret. They will have to solve the mystery connecting the history of their families before dawn.
